ENTS, I plan on stopping by Big Oak Tree State Park on my way to Northern Wisconsin tomorrow. I should get up there around 2 PM. I needed to gather some acorns so I thought why not stop and get some form here. I always drive right by it on I-55 and decided this year to visit this great Forest. I've read about it long before I became an ENT., just never seemed to make time for a stop. I'll measure a few trees while there of course but time is precious and my journey long- around 1200 miles to near Superior, Wi. In Bayfield, I plan on measuring a Chesnut that Paul has told me about last year and perhaps some White Pine, Basswood, Ash, Sugar Maple, etc. that I've been researching. Should get some interesting stuff with lots of photos. I also am remeasuring my friends 90' Balsom Fir for state champion status in Douglas Co., Wi. I've got my new laptop with me so I can post stuff sooner. I also have a new Sony Hi-Def VCamera that is awesome! 60 Gig hard-drive with superior quality as good as the 25,000$ cameras. Anyway, I should have much fun! See-Ya! Larry
