My original post below is from August, and I thought everyone already watched the video. But much later I did an update, and told the group that I found actual Chestnuts on the ground below the tree, proving that it at least is a Chestnut, ending the need for speculation on that. But then I still have no idea if it's Chinese or American. I really love that trail I hiked on in that series of videos. I'm so glad it's only a little over a mile from here.
