A friend sent me this reference to a 200 foot pine measured in 1899: Page 203 of /Forest Trees of the Northeast /(Cornell Cooperative Extension Information Bulletin 235 pub. 1996 ISBN1-57753-012-8): "Maximum longevity is considered to be about 350 years, though individuals aged 450 and older have been found. A tree cut near Lyncoming, Pennsylvania, in 1899 of unknown age was 12 feet in diameter and 200 feet tall."
