Tyler, What an awesome tree! That is also one of the taller ones ENTS has measured for the species- even though less than reported by prior measurers. Could be a volume champ as well- how hard would it be to get to to measure this winter with a reticle?
Bark sure looks like a sweetgum! Congaree is the only place I have been where you can see three native species of Nyssa in one spot. How tall is your tallest measured water tupelo in Congaree?
