Stanley cheats by having an elevation of 6200 feet. You don't even want 
to know how cold it is at that elevation above Minnesota.

BTW--the first blizzard of the season is supposed to arrive today. 12+ 
inches of snow and 50 mph winds are predicted for southern MN, Iowa and 
Wisconsin.  It looks like we might be too far north in Minneapolis for 
this storm, we might only get 6 inches of snow here.  We currently have 
no snow, and if we do get snow today, it will be three weeks later than 
the average date for establishment of the snowpack.
