Gaines, We are to a large degree measurement obsessed. When there is a large non-native tree, we measure it and report the measurements. They appear in our trip reports, etc. The only thing we do differently is that they are not included in the Rucker Height Indexes for a site, but are listed as a separate non-native category of tree. A week ago for example I posted about measurements I took of Japanese Tree Lilac in a local park. Dale Luthringer is very proud of his tall Norway Spruce at Anders Run Natural Area, PA.
