Dan,
Soooper Doooper! I have not see these other VA forests, but would love to. April would be a heck of a good time to see these places. We're finally going to do justice to the Old Diminion, a state that we've hardly touched. I've been wanting to see the forest of Crow's Nest, to the east of Fredericksburg. I hear it has a lot of big, fast- growing trees on fertile ground. Could be a good area for spring wildflowers in April. There are a few other small preserves in the area I haven't seen. Voorhees preserve reportedly has "giant tuliptrees". Know anything about that? Looking forward to meeting you, and Will. We had discussed doing some exploring in the Smokies this winter. (Speaking of which, I have another trip journal I'll post). Dan
