A week or two ago I posted some pictures of Pitch Pines in the snow. Your
response was "Beautiful trees. I'm jealous." or something like that.
Then I suggested to you that in order to get a little taste of what it's like
here, you might want to hop on the Long Island Railroad and get out to one of
the parks and preserves in the Long Island Pine Barrens, and do some hiking.
They have basically the same species as we have, just in a much smaller area.
