VACANT POSITION (I)
CARE International Indonesia is seeking to recruit a Project Coordinator to
manage implementation of an Integrated Conservation and Development Project
in Sulawesi Tengah and Sulawesi Tenggara.
The project will have in excess of 50 staff who will be responsible for
implementing the following project components: (a) co-management systems,
(b) agriculture and alternative livelihood activities, (c) institutional
strengthening, and (d) education.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Manage and coordinate overall project implementation in the two project
locations
Together with Technical Program Officers, monitor implementation of project
components in relation to project activity schedules
Monitor overall project implementation and expenditures in relation to the
project's contractual obligations
Coordinate with Team Leaders, Technical Advisors and Program Development
Unit to ensure timely and appropriate responses to project implementation
issues
Prepare timely and comprehensive progress, monitoring, evaluation and
financial reports for CII and Donor Agency (ies) through the Regional Team
Leader, in coordination with Technical Advisors and Regional Representatives
Representation, liaison and co-ordination with relevant NGO/Govt actors
Assist Program Development Unit in preparing proposals and documentation.
Qualifications
At least S1 degree/post-graduate qualification in agricultural, forestry or
ecological based sciences required.
Minimum five years field-based experience in community development on an
agricultural/ecological project.
Minimum five years experience in project management, preferably including
large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Familiarity with GOI policies, practices and development plans and issues,
specifically in the area of conservation and forest protection, preferred
Good inter-personal and communication skills essential
Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
Computer literate
Desirable
Further experience in alternative livelihoods, institutional strengthening,
