The 28-135IS is one of the lenses that it is recommended not to use a
tripod, the 75-300 is the other. I absolutely love this lens. It is
pretty sharp, and I've gotten useable images down to 1/4 second. this

It was taken at about 50mm f4.5 1/4 sec.

As far as I'm concerned, IS is the best thing to hit photography since
the advent of the SLR!
