In this week's issue of Amateur Photographer there is a review of the EOS
30 by Damien Demolder. His 'verdict' is below :
'Throughout the test, the EOS 30 clearly proved it is a better camera than
the 50E. The AF system is very good, the eye-control system is excellent
and the exposure metering is as good as anything Canon has produced. In the
EOS range, the 1V is the model I would most readily trust when it comes to
metering. The EOS30 is either just as good, or so good as makes no difference.
If you are an EOS user looking to upgrade to a mid-range camera, the EOS 30
will serve you well. If you are a high-end user looking for a body to
back-up the camera you already own, you will be more than happy with the
EOS 30. Actually, you may find it performs better than your main camera.
Basically, the EOS 30 is probably one of the best cameras Canon has ever
produced.' Damien Demolder
The marking is as follows :
Specification - 18/20
Handling - 26/30
