there has been a lot of talk about the 70-200 f/2.8L vs. the 70-200 f/4 with
several people saying they prefer the 100-400IS. I am also considering
buying one of these lenses and am wondering if anyone has done any tests
comparing either of the 70-200's + 2X teleconverter to the 100-400IS.
Does anyone know how image quality compares? Has anyone seen MTF charts for
this? Any comments on size and weight? I do mostly travel photography but
am also getting started on portraits while at home. I already have the
28-135 IS.
NB: i've read all that's been said so far, so I am looking specifically for
comparison data, not further recommendations.
