I bought the 3443 and the Bogen 3437 Magnesium 3D head.  I've never been 
much of a fan of ball heads, or I'm just too used to my 25 year old Husky I 
carried around.  I must say that my back thanks me!!  One thing I had to 
get used to was that the 3D handle seemed backwards to my Husky.  But a few 
times out took care of that.  I really like the Bogen tripod.  You just 
have to get used to hanging you bag off it to get some weight.
