I have a friend who lives nearby whom I convinced to
go with the new 7e and BP-300. I got to play with it
a bit when he got it a few weeks back.
The 7e/BP-300 combo is just as sturdy as the
ElanIIe/BP-50 combo. The tripod mounting hole on the
BP-300 is off-center, just like the BP-50.
If you like/want a larger feeling camera, then the
BP-300 is a must-by. I use an ElanIIe/BP-50 and I
would need the BP-300 with the 7e, just because I'm so
use to the BP-50. The 7e is a rather diminutive
camera body. The addition of FEL button on the BP-300
is a nice touch though.
