Thankyou all for your replies, on and off the list.
Unfortunately no one seems to have the lens, which I thought might be the
case as it is so specialist.
To answer your question, do I really want a lens that does more than 1:1,
and did I realise that it does not focus to infinity, the answer is yes.
But, I am also looking at buying a new "normal" macro lens as well, so
thankyou all for your comments.
Why do I want the 65mm ? well, because I'm interested in take the sort of
pictures that it will take, that no one else ( that I know ) will take.. eg.
Pictures of a flys eye, a scale on a fishes back, there are all sorts of
things that look quite amazing ( I think ) when you enlarge them to that
sort of scale.
So rather then (in the camera club I belong to) pictures of a spider and his
web, I would like to get in closer, and take one of his eye, or see the
detail in a flys wing..
What else would people think they might use this lens for ?
