While we're on this subject, I bought a Hoya rubber adjustable lens hood for
my EF 75-300 lens. It's great except for one thing. It won't take a lens cap
over it. There's no threads. I checked the store, and nothing will work.
while I like having a hood on it, I have no choice but to keep it off until
I take it out to shoot. This is a pain. Does the Tiffen allow a lens cap to
easily go on it?
I don't want an aluminum hood, since it will also have to come off to
store in my bag. Plus I like the ability to fold back for a shorter lens
like my EF 35-135.
