How does one know if the subject is in range before taking a picture
with a 420EX. With the 550EX, the aperture and focal length are
transmitted to the flash. The 550EX displays a distance range on its
LCD. At this point one can estimate their distance from the subject to
make sure they are within that range. Unfortunately, this can't be done
with the 420EX.
So, how does one know if the subject is in range before taking a picture
with a 420EX
Am I missing something?
