Greetings. In keeping with the spirit of the list, I have an ElanIIe with a 28-105,75-300, and a 380EX flash. The off topic questions are: Suggestions for a Monopod? The 75-300 is not IS(and I can't afford the IS) and I think I need something to help stabilize at 300 (will also take a bean bag). Any comments on Bogen vs. Slik? The Slik EZ-Pod looks like a good value for money. If I get a Bogen(what model), Flexhead vs. Compact Strobo Ball head on top? Other thoughts? Any thoughts about filters other than Polarizers and UV? I am thinking of a 2 stop ND and a ND Gradient. Film? Thinking of taking some 400 to smooth out the long lens. Thanks for any tips. Trip is in late Jan, so I have time to get needed equipment. I am looking forward to the trip. I have not been to SA since 1989.
