Greetings.
At a George Lepp seminar in southern California last year, he showed a
hilarious slide of the 1200mm lens. George had an EOS body mounted to the
lens and his son Tory was standing in front of him with the lens on his
shoulder, as a human tripod!
He said that, according to Canon (George is Canon-sponsored), they have
sold only three of them: 2 to Sports Illustrated magazine and one to a
wealthy person. When he borrowed the lens, it arrived in a large wooden
crate. His wife and business manager, Arlie, said that the happiest day of
her life was when they received confirmation that the lens arrived back at
Canon safe and sound!
