I was shopping for a back-up EOS 5 when I decided to check out the 3. It is
not much more money than a 5 + command dial fix. Anyway...
I found the following description of the mirror lock-up function for the 3:
engage the self-timer
open the little side-door
press the little CF button
select the correct custom function
press the little CF button again to engage mirror lock-up
My question is: If you perform the above steps, and then take, say, 36
exposures, do you have to do all those steps for each exposure? Or does the
above 'set' the EOS 3 to mirror lock-up, so that all successive shots are
with the lock-up function, until you turn it off?
I use my EOS 5's mirror pre-fire for most of my shots, so doing the above
steps for each shot would be a royal pain in the #.
Thanks,
Ron
