I know this is slightly off subject but I am trying to scan in some negatives made with my EOS camera and I am hoping that someone on the list has experience with this scanner. I just got this scanner and got it hooked up using Windows 2000 with no problem and made a couple of quick test scans. I have one question. When I scan using 16 color depth everything works fine and the image is about 60 megs. When I choose 16 bit LINEAR, which according to the manual is the same as 16 bit without image correction, the image is again about 60 megs but it looks like a negative only many times larger. I am scanning negative film using the 2820 input resolution. Should I not be seeing a color image when I scan in linear mode?
