The risk of polarizing ultra wide angle lenses when shooting outdoors is
that the effect of the polarization on the sky is determined in part by the
angle of the camera to the sun. When the camera is 90 degrees to the sun's
axis the effect is most pronounced. With ultra w/a lenses, the angle of
coverage is so great that the amount of polarization across the sky will
vary noticeably from one side of the image to the other.

Henry,

Really you know your profession!

Kind regards

Felix
