Hi,

This may sound dumb, but when do you actually fire the shutter with the
28-135 (or any other) IS lens. I just got the lens. This is what happens:

1) depress shutter button half-way;
2) lens makes noise, sometimes for several seconds;
3) lens stops making noise and the viewfinder image 'jumps'.

Do I finish depressing the shutter during 2, or after 3? Or am I missing
something here? It seems as though if I wait until the noise stops, then
the lens will blur from camera shake (IS stops). But if I trip the shutter
when it is making noise (stabilizing?), how do I know when?

Thanks,

Ron
