Hi Alex & Kim,
The BP-300 also has a switch to enable/disable the secondary shutter
release and AE-lock buttons.
Perhaps the switch could be converted to latching the shutter button
to half-pressed. This could be useful to overcome the RC-1 IR remote
timeout...
