Canon USA Inc. has recently integrated both its camera and computer
peripherals division into one, as part of its KNOW-HOW program
launched in early 2000 prior to PMA 2000 Show.

Aside from new EOS, Sure Shot and APS cameras and EF lenses (and
other prototypes), expect some new Bubblejet photo printers with 2400
X 1200 dpi resolutions as well as longer lasting inks and a successor
to the CanoScan FS2710F film scanner (to be marketed in the second
half of 2001) - said to be also capable of a maximum 4000 dpi quality!

No such EF lenses are in the pipeline. Expect only newer EF-L lenses
to be launched during the second half of 2001 with the introduction
of the pro digital EOS-1D camera. :-)
