I used to think so too, many times removing and reinserting film into my
EOS-3 with no problems. Once however, I found that the frames had
overlapped - ie. the second time I inserted the film, it did not advance far
enough by about half a frame and two frames overlapped by about half (I was
shooting slide film). I now fire off a blank frame just to be sure -
although I have never seen the problem again and there is always a perfectly
spaced blank frame. Just to let people know that it's not 100% foolproof
(99.9% perhaps)
