Ah, sorry:
1) I was busy
2) I could not believe no response from the guy who asked the
question: that gets me a bit pissed as if it would cost him many
keystrokes to acknowlege ...

The enlarger lenses, whatever any here say, are optically as good as
the 100 once you put them on bellows. Indeed, being smaller in cross
section makes it easier to get some front lighting (the reason I won't
be buying the 65).
For me though, the problem with them is that they have to have the
aperture closed by hand. With insects etc, putting my hand that close
is the last thing I want to do. Unless you are going to buy the
Novoflex (or SRB) version then I see little advantage in using an EOS
lens unless you want it to be wide open OR have some clever way of
closing it. If I were handy with electronics I would try to rig up
dome way of closing the aperture on the enlarger lesn remotely. At
5:1 even on a wooden floor leaning forward to close the aperture
alters the focus ;o(
As for DIY: with me it means "wreck it yourself" ... in ways I could
never imagine. I woluld be wary of shorting things inadvertently on
my EOS 1n for the price of much less than the lens.
I have no special page for shats taken with the set up (on line) but I
have several casettes for slide shows (aphids, moss etc). One image
with it (5:1) was in EOS magazine about a year to 18 months ago ...
raindrop on pink flower. Also there is "Saffron" on my home page.
But I am very busy and my 15MB allowance is nearly full so I have to
think hard what pictures to put there.
