When it comes to useful innovations Canon is more prolific and much quicker to market than Nikon. How many VR (non-AFS BTW) lenses have any of you seen? This is the reason I switched to Canon (and that was a tough and expensive decision) a year and a half ago. I don't mean to start another Canon/Nikon war, but if I were still using Nikon, I'd still be waiting for a variety of USM/AFS lenses and a long 500mm IS/VR lens. Canon fills my needs now! To criticize Canon because Nikon beat Canon to an update of their digital camera is ridiculous. Canon's D-30 is a much newer camera and soon enough (maybe not for some) there will be an update. And I am sure Canon is hard at work putting the finishing touches on the next Pro Digital Camera rumored to be out this summer.
