FWIW, I used it's predecessor (just AT-X) on my manual Minolta systems for
several years because it was the fastest long zoom made for the MD mount. I
liked the results, they were comparable to what I get with my 70-200 2.8L in
prints up to about 8x10. Obviously, I can't comment on the AF speed, but the
build quality was excellent.
