Hi Rolland!

I've bought a used 600L a few years ago before the IS was introduced. I
paid a great deal more than $3,750US and the lens (and all acessories) were
in immaculate almost brand new condition.

I've not looked at the prices in some time, and the introduction of the
IS version must certainly pushed down the going rate for a non IS 600L.

If $3,750 is the market now and the lens is in good to great condition,
you will love this optic!! The auto focus speed of my 600 is VERY fast, and
can be set to various distance ranges. There are also speed settings for
the manual focus, and a rapid return to a present focus feature. I don't
know if the IS Version is faster in these aspects. Henry Posner at B&H
might know the specs on this.

    Best regards,

Rob
