I read all the comments and have to say that some were very funny.
The workhorse lens for a wedding shooter using EOS is the 28-70L lens.
Next would be the 17-35L or similar.  Last would be the 70-200L.
For those that have not shot a wedding, it is like combat photography.
You do not get a second chance if you mess up.  Yes, it is best 
to shoot around Ff5.6-F8 with a good high-powered flash.  You could also
use the 28-135IS lens and use a slower shutter speed to gain the ambient
light.
You DO NOT want to shoot at F2.8, as the DOF is too shallow.  For the
individual 
who wanted to rent a 70-200mm L to shoot the wedding, that would be the last

thing I would use.  First would be the Camera, 28-xxx lens, powerful flash
(550EX or QFlash),
Wide Angle lens, then last the 70-200mm. Rarely will you a focal length
greater than 100mm.
