For those of you into EOS trivia or history, here is lens hood info
on other hoods also purchased in early 1988:
   EW-65 (28mm f/2.8) soft flocking
   ET-62 (100-300mm f/5.6) soft flocking
Purchased in 2000 and 2001:
EW-68B (35-105mm f/3.5-4.5) flat black paint - These hoods were
sold as new by different retailers, and came in the old style
silver/black box, but nothing to indicate the date of manufacture.

Now that my two sons are getting interested in photography, my interest
in EOS trivia and history has been rekindled. My first exposure to a
"real" 35mm SLR was my 620 back in '88 ... so I bought two 620 bodies
for my sons to replace their point-and-shoots. I've never felt the
need to upgrade from my 620 and 630 ... until the D30 arrived!
