What Bob and others have said about being able to switch the 550EX flash to
display in either feet or meters is correct. It has also been the source of
amusement for me when I see (US) sales promotional statements disparaging
purchasing the 550EX on the "gray market" as they only display in meters
while the (more expensive) US/North American models read-out in feet. Ha!
