Thanh,
I just returned from shooting gymnastics. I have on my desk the latest
proof sheets from two high school basketball games. I shoot the A2E and
have toyed with the EOS 3 and at this point I trust my manual focusing
abilities over the AF of either body.
I have tried using the 28 -105 USM in AF mode to shoot basketball. The
results were pretty good. I have had much less success with gymnastics
while relying upon AF in the 80 - 200 2.8L. During today's 5 hours of
shooting gymnastics, the only time I used AF was to check my MF on a
stationary object like the vaulting horse.
