Sigh.
Without taking the time to rehash this whole tired debate let me list
an objective executive summary of the truth for you.
1) Several members DID object to my signature file. Others had no
problem with it. Overall probably more disliked it than liked it.
2) A rather heated debate was completed previously with the end result
that the list owner while not approving of my signature content
decided it would be allowed to stay as is.
3) I have never posted any commercial content other than my signature
file, which is the same for each and every newsgroup/email/mailing
list that I'm on.
4) I stated before that as a matter of principle I will not be
harassed into changing the content of my signature file, which is
short and non-profane. If the list owner decides to make the
ultimatum that I remove it or leave, I shall leave, as I expressed
before. In the last discussion her discretion and temper were better
than my own and I noted that and appreciated it. I would suggest that
you cease and desist these attacks which have been shown to waste far
more bandwidth than would ever be consumed by my signature file. The
only reason I reply here is because you have started a campaign
against me including references to my ISP.
Finally: I will be notifying my ISP which is a small local company
that they might expect to see some complaints from you. Given I am
posting relevant questions and discussion to a private email group and
only my signature file is upsetting you, I would propose that not only
is your response over the line, but it lends you no credibility. Your
assumption that somehow since I'm a medical doctor I'm removed from
the real world pressures of buying things inexpensively is bizarre at
best. I would suggest some consideration before posting such
suggestions publicly in the future.
It should be noted that I received not even a private email from this
individual before he starts writing hate mail to my ISP. I'm sure
the ftc will be thrilled to investigate...not.
I will not be replying further and thank the persons who translated
and answered my original query. Certainly does not look like this TC
is worth the money to me. Is this going to be a replacement or an
addition to the EOS TC line? If a replacement, looks like a good time
to go shopping.
