I've never used the 135mm f/2 USM lens, but if you are using it for
portraits and other stationary subjects a much cheaper alternative would be
to buy a used Nikon 135mm f/2 manual focus lens and a Nikon to Canon EOS
adapter for about 1/2 the price of a Canon 135mm f/2 lens. I have the Nikon
and it is super sharp.
