Go for Kenko Pro or Tamron SP - the new versions - they will work well.
While
I don't have 35-350 L - Kenko pro I have work wonderful with all other
lenses. Optics are great. As far as Sigma - I'm not sure - I heard some
compatibility problems, but can't remember with which lenses. Maybe someone
on the list knows.
Sigma EX teleconverters have protruding elements like the canon ones.
