Hi Jack,

It matters which EOS body you use, since adapters are required for some
cameras to use the Anlge Finders B and C.

AFAIK, the original Angle Finder (A?) gave an upside-down fixed-
magnification image of the viewfinder.

The Canon Angle Finder B has a prism to give a fixed magnification and
right-way-up image of the viewfinder. It will fit all the EOS cameras
that do not have eye-controlled focus without an adapter. A separate
adapter (Ed II) is required for use with EOS bodies with larger
viewfinders.

The Canon Angle Finder C comes with adapters to fit all EOS cameras.
Magnification is switchable between 1.25x and 2.5x

The Minolta Angle Finder is also apparently compatible with the same
cameras as the Angle Finder B, but also offered switchable magnification.

I have an Angle Finder B that I use on the EOS 1000FN. When I need extra
magnification, I use the Canon Magnifier S resting on the eyepiece of the
Angle Finder B. See:

One day, I'll probably sell the Angle finder B and Magnifier S and replace
them with an Angle finder C.

Hope this helps.
