Mirror Lock-up also works when using the self timer of the Elan 7E.
Toomas Tamm had investigated what happens with different combinations
of Mirror Pre-Fire, Auto-Exposure Bracket, Self Timer, and RC-1 for
the EOS 50 / Elan IIe. See:

I expect the Elan 7E to behave in a similar fashion.
