Hi,

I have the Tamron 28-200 LD IF lens, with a 72mm filter size.

I must agree with Julian, the lens cap is much better than Canon.

The thing that I lke best about it is that it has the clips in the center
too (the clips that I'm talking about are the plastic moving parts on a lens
caps circumference that you press inwards to release the cap from the lens).
These clips in a Tamron cap are on the edge and also close to the center.

When using a hood, its nearly impossible to get your fingers around the edge
of a lens cap, especially if you're wearing gloves or have thick fingers.
With a Tamron lens cap, you twiddle your fingers around the center of the
lens cap and it unclips from the lens. Can be done with thick gloves too.

The threads on the cap also are greater in number, so they hold onto the
lens better.

Cheers,
Shashvat
