Ahh.... use the 70-200 2.8L. I photgraphed a band last summer with the 28-70 2.8L and
I has to be too close to the stage. I would have liked to be out of the crowd right
by the stage but the 70mm wasn't long enough. I did not have my 70-200 2.8L at the
time but I know it would have made things a lot easier. The 2.8 aperature on the lens
makes it a lot easier to use auto focus in the low light. I would take one wide angle
to get different type of shots of the band and crowd or other creative type stuff. I
suppose I would take the 28-135IS since it has the IS. I have never used one, so you
will have to decide what works best for you. I like to get on the stage and shoot
from behind the band and the wide angle works really cool for that.

>>>Do you think that B&W will be a good option? I have no experience in

I used regular old Fuji 800 film and the results were wonderful. I spot metered off
the particular member's face and shot away. I like color prints so I used color film,
that is just a personal preference. I think I was getting 1/125 @f/4 with the 800
speed film. They had a bank of lights pointed at the band.

Have fun!
