Hello, I have an EOS 5QD (with the date back). I really have no use for the date function, but since that was the only version of the 5 available from B&H, that's what I have. While I've never had any need for date imprinting, I have tried it once or twice just to see what it looked like, and it didn't seem to work. I didn't pay this any mind since it wasn't a feature I needed anyway, but now that I want to sell the camera I'm concerned that this lowers the value of an otherwise perfectly-working camera. The LCD display on the exterior of the back works ok, but the tiny LEDs that imprint the date on the film appear not to light up when the shutter is fired--I've even held the little slot in the pressure plate right up to my eye and fired the shutter, without seeing any evidence of the LEDs lighting up. :-) So my question is, does anyone have any ideas as what the problem is (hoping that it's not the obvious one that the LEDS don't work)--like, maybe I'm doing something wrong when I turn on the date function, or maybe there's some kind of quick and/or cheap fix? Thanks, Craig * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
