My Rebel G has the date back, and I only found it useful once--when I was
rearended on the freeway, I snapped pics using the date feature to help with
the insurance claim. Unfortunately I forgot to turn the date off and it
ruined the subsequent shots, which otherwise would have been keepers, on
that roll :(
