Hi Neil,

It does and it doesn't.

The 430Ez will give an A-TTL "out of range" warning, but only with
a few early EOS bodies.

The 430EZ "Flash-ready" indicator can be used as a secondary flash OK
indicator.

If the flash was quenched by TTL, the indicator glows red or green.
Underexposure occurs if a full power flash does not give sufficient
light.  If a full power flash occurs, the indicator stops glowing
briefly during recharge, and underexposure was possible.

Is it wrong to use the Flash Ready indicator in this way?
