Went through the runaround at Canon USA this morning, but got some good
phone numbers. Thought I would post them here so others don't have to
"share my pain". I was ordering a replacement manual and lens strap for
a lens I bought used:
1) To order a replacement manual for a lens, you have to call the
"parts department":
732-521-7230
They also seemed much brighter about how to look things up in the
computer.
2) To order a missing item (such as a lens strap) you have to call the
"sales department":
1-800-828-4040 (prompt #1 then follow prompts)
And if you order from one department and then the other, you only have
to pay shipping once, as long as you tell the department that you've
already placed an order earlier that day.
