I suppose I thought I was remarking rather than complaining. :-)
In any case, I've seen some promotions by Canon France (advertised in CdI) that
seemed better than anything we get here in the US--and they are either straight
discounts or "buy this and get one of these free" promotions rather than a
mail-in rebate. Of course, the starting prices might be higher. . . .
Um, 'plonker' is not in my edition of "British English: A to Zed"--a drinker of
cheap wine? I gather it's not a good thing in any case. :-)
