I wish you guys (no one personally) would stop mis-informing everyone
else that this was only a problem with "early production" models.
That is NOT true. The problem still persists. Canon still denies any
such problem, but honorable service personel are still seeing this
problem on a regular basis. Mine, bought 14 days ago from B&H ans Peter
Burians, purchased 2-3 months ago from Hunts, both had the underexposure
problem. On top of that, mine also suffered from the mis-aligned
focusing screen problem that was reported as well.
In my case, the problems were cured in about 10 minutes for free by
Horizon Electronics of Union City, CA. I might add that Horizon is a
great place and has some of the best service personel I've ever had the
pleasure to hire. And I mean pleasure.
Please let's set the record straight. Canon has far too many feathers in
their cap for this to be hidden. It's an embarrassing problem, albeit a
minor one.
