Life is full of compromises ...
but yes, I would miss one stop.
I would not miss the extra size of the lens though
Less of an issue is the extra weight.
The extra cost is a problem for sure ... but compared to the cost in
time, energy, opportunity a small fraction of the total cost of
feeding my habit (photography).
I wish 800 film was as fine grained and smooth as Velvia.
I wish my camera knew EXACTLY where I was trying to focus when using
AF (and I mean to a tighter degree than the size of a focussing
sensor)
I wish all film could be used at ISO 10-2500000000000 on a frame by
frame basis with absolutely no loss of quality.
Then, maybe, the extra stop would lose its attraction ...
