Hi Vesa,
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
How do you know that your equipment is underexposing?? I'm having hard time
with my switch from print film to slides. I'm never happy with my results and I
find myself often looking back at those Kodak Supra's. I suppose it's like
trying to quit smoking :-)
I wonder if there's a kind of reference to compare your slides with. Last week
I shot a series on a gray card with a 0.5 stop interval and 4 stops total (=8
photos). I can "guess" which one is the correct but I've doubts when looking at
its side-by-side neighbours (-0.5, +0.5). The problem is that I'm trying to
compare an opaque gray card with a transparent gray slide.
Is there a 18% transmissive reference I could use??, I mean a reference slide
that when copied *should* produce the same result??
I came up with the same question when trying to E-TTL-backlight some translucid
subjects... E-TTL just when bananas and a compensation of about -3stops was
needed in order to get 'decent' results.
In very few words: Which is the transmissive equivalent of a 18% *reflective*
gray card??
Greetings,
Gerard.
