Fascinating thread. What is it on the Elan 7? I seem to recall 95%?
I really need to get on top of this because I spend a LOT of time
framing very carefully, and now I think I better start taking notes,
as I don't remember always my exact intentions when viewing stuff back
from the lab. My sense is that the viewfinder percentage on my Elan 7
does indeed correspond pretty closely to the way things get "cropped"
when mounted or printed, as a couple of times I've wanted just a tick
of some feature at the edge of a photo, and it did work out that way
in the slide.
